Albuquerque, New Mexico

On the 19th of May, we traveled from Roswell, NM through some of the most desolate terrain we have yet seen.  Traveling on US285 North toward I-40 the only life we saw for many miles was a few cows.  Everything else was cactus and dirt.  Even the motor traffic was very light.

As we approached Albuquerque, the landscape changed and we came into a rocky mountainous area with many trees.

We decided to spend three days here at a high-end KOA campground inside the City.  A very nice and well-kept campground.  After settling in, we decided to head to one of the attractions in ABQ.  Old Town Albuquerque.  It's an area within the City that is in the old Spanish New Mexican style of architecture and is centered around famous San Felipe de Neri Church in the center of the Plaza with many shops and museums close by.

Later that evening, we were directed to what was a true New Mexican food style restaurant.  Sadie's Restaurant.
Choosing if we wanted Red or Green Chili was not an issue, they gave me both.  Also, the Salsa was the hottest I have ever had, and I have had hot salsa before.  We both tried their enchiladas and were surprised to be asked if we wanted them stacked or rolled and if we wanted the chili over the enchiladas or on the side.  we wisely chose on the side and took the traditional rolled style.  The food was great!
